Inspiron Zino HD Review

Inspiron Zino HD is Dell’s new small form factor mini PC. Its windows 7 answer to the mac mini.  The Inspiron Zino measures 7.8″ x 7.8″ x 3.4″, weighs 3.53lbs and offers a bit more muscle than your average Atom-based machine.

The Inspiron Zino HD comes wity a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon 2650E processor (up to 1.8GHz AMD X2), Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics (or Radeon HD 4330 512MB), 2GB of DDR2 800MHz RAM (up to 8GB), a 320GB 7200RPM HDD (up to 1TB), a DVD burner (or Blu-ray drive), and Windows 7 Home Premium (or Professional) X64. Other specifications include 802.11n Wi-Fi, four USB ports, an eSATA port, a headphone jack, a four-in-one memory card reader, and VGA as well as HDMI-out.

Dell’s mini desktop is currently listed on the company’s official site, and doesn’t a current promotion of $229 start price is offered. Prices generally start at $249 and goes up with customization of hardware and software.

The PC has Windows 7 Home Premium, AMD AthlonTM Dual-Core processor with integrated ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics and an optional Radeon HD 4330 graphics. You can have up to 1 TB of hard disk space in your Inspiron Zino HD. Besides this the nettop supports a mind blowing 8GB of 800MHz DDR2 memory. It includes WLAN card (802.11 b/g or 802.11 a/b/g/n), two USB 2.0 ports, 4-in-1 memory card reader, headphone, microphone, VGA, RJ45, eSATA and HDMI connectors.

The base model has AMD Athlon 2650e (512K L2, 1.6GHz) processor, Windows Vista Home Basic, 2GB DDR2 800MHz memory, 250GB SATA Hard Drive with 7200 RPM, Integrated ATI Radeon HD3200, integrated 2.1 High Definition Audio and cost only $229. You can fully customize every feature as per your requirements. There is also an optional Blu-ray Drive that will cost an additional $100.
